How to do after got new piercing
Piercing Care Tips:
- Clean your piercing along with your regular hygiene habits like brushing teeth or showering to stay consistent.
- Remember to wash your hands with warm water and gentle soap before touching your piercing to prevent introducing bacteria.
- Use a salt solution (1 teaspoon salt in a cup of warm water) on a clean cotton pad to clean the pierced area multiple times daily.
- Gently dab, not wipe, the piercing and then dry with a clean towel to avoid damaging the healing tissue.
- Avoid perfumed soaps and opt for mild antiseptic soap and water to clean around the piercing.
- Clean the pierced area whenever you remove or reinsert jewelry, as bacteria can quickly contaminate it.
- Refrain from cleaning the piercing in the bathroom, especially public ones, due to high bacteria concentrations.
- Avoid lying on the piercing for extended periods to prevent trapping moisture and bacteria, which can lead to infections.
- Be cautious not to let hair or body products come into contact with the piercing to prevent irritation.
- Monitor for any unusual discharge or discoloration which may indicate infection, and seek professional advice promptly if needed.
